On December 6, 2024, the TO_AITION project hosted an engaging and insightful Usability Assessment Workshop at the BRaIN Laboratories of the Medical University of Łódź, Poland. This event marked an important milestone in the project, providing a platform to present and refine the TO_AITION risk stratification tool, an innovative resource designed to enhance the understanding and management of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and depression comorbidity.
Showcasing the TO_AITION Risk Stratification Platform
The session featured Dr. Antonis Sakellarios from partner UOI alongside Prof. Jakub Kaźmierski and Dr. Karina Nowakowska from partner LODZ, who presented the TO_AITION risk stratification platform. This tool, developed to support cardiologists, psychiatrists, and healthcare professionals, aims to facilitate early identification, prevention, and personalized treatment approaches for patients at risk of CVD-depression multimorbidity.
The workshop provided valuable hands-on experience, allowing attendees to explore the functionalities of the platform and assess its usability in clinical practice.
Engaging Healthcare Professionals for Real-World Impact
A highlight of the event was the participation of medical staff from the Medical University of Łódź, who contributed valuable feedback on the platform’s design, usability, and clinical applicability. Their input is crucial in ensuring that the tool is user-friendly, efficient, and tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals managing complex patient cases. The interactive discussions underscored the importance of integrating digital innovations into routine medical practice, enabling better risk assessment, early intervention, and improved patient outcomes.
The insights gained from this Usability Assessment Workshop will play a key role in refining the TO_AITION risk stratification platform, bringing it one step closer to clinical implementation. The project remains committed to bridge the gap between research and practice, ensuring that its findings translate into real-world healthcare solutions.
We extend our gratitude to all participants for their engagement, expertise, and constructive feedback. Their contributions are instrumental in advancing precision medicine approaches for CVD-depression multimorbidity.
